Burning less! Savings and ecology

OptiGas is a remarkable, innovative gas burning system which Amica has brought onto the market. The OptiGas system is based on selecting the power of the burners in such a way that the size of the flame tip is adjusted to the size of the pans in a typical set as sold in the shops. This makes the system not only economical, but also enables you to take care of the natural environment. This means that economy and ecology are its watchwords.

The innovative OptiGas burning system developed by Amica is an extraordinary solution which has been available in gas cookers since early April. Just as with the technical solutions introduced earlier, we are once more dealing with a system which is completely new on the market and sets the new standard in its field. It helps significantly reduce gas consumption, which in turn leads to lower bills.

The OptiGas system is based on adjusting the size of the burner flame to the size of the pans in a typical set as sold in the shops. The new system optimises gas consumption during cooking, because the burner flame precisely heats the bottom of the pan without dissipating over the sides. This results in an increase in heating efficiency and lowers gas consumption by as much as 12%! This means that cookers with the OptiGas system are both economical and ecological.

"By introducing a gas flow control, we have increased the efficiency of heating the pan placed on the burners. The burner's optimised flame increases gas savings and makes cooking more economical, and thus also ecological. These are the basic key advantages which OptiGas gives its users. It is also an excellent alternative for those who do not like cooking on electric hotplates," says Radosław Czarnecki, Product Manager responsible for heating appliances in Amica.

Indeed. Everyone who buys new appliances nowadays is looking for modernity, for solutions that work and will continue to work in the future. But at the same time we have no desire to change our habits, our appreciation of cooking on a "real" fire, while still being aware of saving. Now, as well as the advantages of the classic cooking method, we can also cook on a fully ecological appliance. As well as optimal gas use, OptiGas guarantees lower emissions of pollution into the environment. Amica gas cookers simply burn less. So thanks to the OptiGas system a new standard is now available on the market, which allows us to combine traditional cooking with the latest ecological solutions.  

Amica cookers equipped with the OptiGas system are available from April 2010.
